Terms of Use

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Robot Call Blocker iPhone app (the "App") and the website robotcallblocker.app (together, the "Service"), provided by TaterTapps LLC, a Mississippi limited liability company ("we," "us" or "our"). By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

The service

The App helps reduce unwanted calls, text messages and web ads by giving iOS a list of known spam numbers, applying your own blocking rules, filtering messages from unknown senders and providing a Safari content blocker. The spam list is updated regularly, and you need to open the App from time to time to load the latest version.

Call blocking depends on Apple's iOS features, your settings, your carrier and the accuracy of caller ID. Spammers constantly change numbers and spoof caller IDs. We can't guarantee that every unwanted call or message will be blocked, or that no wanted call or message will ever be blocked. Statements such as "up to 99% fewer spam calls" describe typical results for users who keep the App enabled and up to date. Your results may vary.

Subscriptions & free trials

  • The App is free to download. Access to the Service requires a paid auto-renewing subscription after any free trial. Available plans and prices are shown in the App before you buy and may vary by country.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you started one.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the same price and duration unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
  • We may change subscription prices. Apple will notify you in advance as required, and you can cancel before the change takes effect.

Cancellation & refunds

You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.

All purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds directly.

License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. We and our licensors own all rights to the Service, including the spam list, software, design and trademarks. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, scrape or redistribute the Service or the spam list, except as the law expressly permits.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, you may not report numbers you know are legitimate in order to harm others, use Number Lookup to harass, stalk or unlawfully identify anyone, interfere with or disrupt the Service, or use the Service in violation of any law, including telecommunications and privacy laws.

Your submissions

When you report a number or keyword, send feedback or make suggestions, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use that information to operate and improve the Service, including adding reported numbers to the shared spam list. You confirm that you have the right to submit it.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT IT WILL BLOCK ALL UNWANTED CALLS OR MESSAGES, OR NEVER BLOCK A WANTED ONE. Number Lookup information comes from third parties and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Never rely on the App to receive emergency or time-critical calls or messages. Calls to and from emergency services aren't affected by the App.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WON'T BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR OPPORTUNITIES, INCLUDING DAMAGES RESULTING FROM A BLOCKED OR MISSED CALL OR MESSAGE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WON'T EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

Apple terms

These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, has no warranty obligation for the App. If the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price. Apple isn't responsible for any claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the App must also comply with Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and any third-party terms (for example, your carrier's) that apply. You confirm that you're not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and aren't on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

General

  • Changes. We may update these Terms. We'll post the updated version here and change the effective date. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the new Terms.
  • Termination. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service anytime.
  • Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Mississippi, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
  • Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
